Our Dream of a Bright Future

The founders' hold fond memories of a past where tea farming was thriving and its communities were vibrant. Since then, the industry has entered a decline and the population is aging without hardly any successors to continue the tradition. Tea farming is very demanding, with many factors contributing to this scenario, so many people are giving up.

ChaChaCha has been borne out of a wish to overcome these challenges of decline and the aging community, and to create a vision for the future. We believe that there is a demand for great quality tea from Japan, we just have to connect with those who seek it. Our approach is to also diversify and look at our tea business from a much broader perspective: not just selling tea products themselves, but also the unique experience that goes along with it. Our world includes a variety of tea products, but also a cafe, a tea hedge maze, events, tea harvest experiences, tea garden tours, tea ceremonies, tea farm stays and a tea-based wellness experience including a sauna. Our approach might be unconventional, but our vision for our world of tea doesn’t stop here.

By sharing this world with our customers, we also want to bring back the joy of farming to our tea community. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a thriving business can reinvigorate this ailing industry and let its people enjoy the work whilst also providing a brighter future? Tea cannot be harvested in solitude, it is always and forever will be a joint effort rooted deeply in community. We hope to infuse joy into everyone’s lives - as we produce delicious tea for happy customers around the world, and for people to feel joy and excitement of being part of our world of tea.
