2026 Shincha: Hachijuhachiya Tea
Hachijuhachiya tea is made from the very first tea leaves picked around the 88th day after the start of spring. These young leaves are soft, full of flavor and nutrients, and have a fresh, vibrant aroma that really stands out. The last drop of tea holds the richest umami, so be sure to pour it all out—don’t leave any behind! You can enjoy it hot, of course, but it also tastes great as a cold brew, even with a short steeping time. This tea is something special you can only enjoy in the spring to early summer season. We hope you’ll take a moment to savor the fresh taste of the year’s first harvest!
